Summers are hot, and it becomes very difficult to keep bonsai trees watered and the roots from getting too hot. While there are many solutions, sand trays may be the most elegant of them.
Avoiding the messy and time-consuming process of burying the sand tray allows you to still move your tree or easily remove it if it needs to dry out.
