How often do I need to water?
This depends on the product, and the type of moss. For specific care please follow our care guides for your specific product.
Can I put my moss in a window?
You can, BUT we prefer the use of grow lights for a few reasons. Grow lights provide the same light, at the same temperature, for the same amount of time every day. Natural light can be hot, and inconsistent leaving your moss looking less than ideal.
Can I use tap water for my moss?
Again, you can but your moss wont look thick and green due to burning from minerals in tap. We use reverse osmosis (RO) water at the shop, but distilled works too. Tap water is designed for human consumption and contains, fluoride, chlorine, and various other minerals that are good for us but harsh on the moss.
What is the upkeep like, will I need to trim it?
No! None of our mosses require trimming, or fertilizing. If your product contains other types of plants like a tree or fern you may want to occasionally trim to keep things neat and visible.
